Quick start

This is the fastest path from "I just signed up" to "there's a clock glowing on the wall." It takes about five minutes. We'll go deeper on every step later — for now, just follow along.

Note

You'll need two things: a free SalahClock account, and a screen to show the clock on (a TV, a tablet, an old laptop — anything with a web browser works).

  1. 1

    Create your account

Go to the sign-in page and sign up with Google, or with your email and a password. It's free, and the free plan is enough to run one clock.

See Signing in for all three ways to log in.

  2. 2

    Add your first clock

On your dashboard, click Add a clock. Give it a name (your mosque's name is perfect), search for your location on the map, and pick a calculation method. Choose a theme you like, and save.

    Full walkthrough: Creating a clock.

  3. 3

    Open the display

Back on the dashboard, press Open on your new clock. A full-screen prayer clock appears in a new tab — this is exactly what your wall screen will show.

  4. 4

    Put it on your screen

Open that same display link on the device connected to your TV, and make the browser full-screen. That's it — your clock is live and will keep itself accurate and up to date on its own.

For mounting tips and the "copy link" button, see Opening the display.

What's next

You have a working clock. Here are the things most people set up next:

  • Iqamah times — tell the clock how long after the adhan your jamāʿah starts.
  • Labels & languages — switch the display to another language, or show two at once.
  • Themes — try the other designs and find your favourite.
  • Content screens — show announcements and images alongside (or instead of) the clock.

Tip

Nothing you change can break your display. Edit settings freely — the clock updates live, and you can always change it back.
