About

For the ummah. Not for the feed.

SalahClock is a small, independent project building the prayer-time display the mosque around the corner actually deserves — accurate, beautiful, calm, and free of the things that don't belong in a masjid.

Why this exists

Walk into most mosques and you’ll find the same setup everywhere: a dusty PC running a closed-source Windows program, a cracked LCD with stuck pixels, prayer times that drift by ten minutes because nobody knows the admin password. The volunteer who installed it moved away three years ago. The screen reboots every night at 3am for reasons nobody can explain.

We thought the ummah deserved better. Not a flashier version of what exists — a calmer, more reliable, more dignified one. Open the URL on any screen. Set it up in a minute. Walk away knowing it will still be running, accurately, five years from now.

01

What we believe

Three commitments that shape every decision.

i

Accuracy first

Prayer times are computed locally from established methods. The mosque's posted Iqamah is the source of truth — we don't second-guess it.

ii

Dignity in design

A masjid display should feel like the masjid. No flashing banners, no engagement tricks, no ads — ever. Themes are quiet by default.

iii

Reliable for years

Set it up once. It keeps running. Offline cache, auto-reload, no subscription you'll forget to renew. The free tier is free, forever.

02

Who SalahClock is for

Mosques

The masjid in your neighbourhood — from the local community room to the architectural Friday mosque. A single shareable URL for the prayer-hall display.

Homes & families

A quiet prayer-time clock on a spare tablet in the kitchen. A reminder on a smart TV that's otherwise sitting idle. A way to teach kids the times.

Offices & workplaces

A calm display in the prayer room or musalla so colleagues always know the next salah — no one checking phones mid-meeting.

Islamic schools

Madrasahs, weekend schools, and Islamic centers running multiple displays — one in the lobby, one in the prayer room, one in the office.

03

The team

We’re a small group — engineers, designers, and people who grew up volunteering at our local mosques. SalahClock started as a side project and grew because every mosque we showed it to asked when they could install it.

If you’re part of a mosque or community center and want to help shape the roadmap — say hello. We read everything.
